The platform

Specialist applications.
One shared workspace.

Medicalholodeck is a suite of applications for exploring medical data and teaching anatomy in 3D. Spatial OS brings these applications together across supported displays and VR headsets.

Work independently or invite colleagues and students into the same session, with a viewpoint for each participant.

Standard displays

Explore medical volumes and anatomy models from a workstation.

Touch displays

Guide discussions and teaching sessions with direct interaction on a shared screen.

Stereoscopic 3D

View anatomical depth on compatible stereoscopic displays.

Virtual reality

Examine anatomy at an immersive scale and collaborate in a shared spatial environment.

The workflow

From medical data
to shared exploration.

Bring scan data into 3D, focus on the anatomy that matters, and use the same content for discussion and teaching.

01

Import and explore

Open CT and MRI datasets in DICOM format. Explore interactive 3D volumes alongside the original scan views.

02

Focus on anatomy

Use AI segmentation to isolate supported structures and examine their relationship to surrounding anatomy.

03

Discuss and teach

Explore datasets together, guide learners through spatial relationships, and record explanations for later review.

Who it’s for

A common reference for learning and discussion.

Connect medical professionals, educators, researchers, and learners around anatomical content they can explore together.

FAQ

How do Medicalholodeck and Spatial OS relate?

Medicalholodeck provides the application suite for medical imaging, anatomy, AI segmentation, and spatial content creation. Spatial OS is the workspace that brings these applications together across supported displays and VR devices.

Do we need VR headsets?

No. Spatial OS supports standard monitors and compatible touch and stereoscopic displays as well as VR headsets. Choose devices around your intended use, available space, and group size.

Can we use our own medical imaging data?

Medical Imaging supports CT and MRI datasets in DICOM format. Discuss your data formats, processing requirements, and institutional policies with our team when planning your setup.

Can we combine live teaching with independent study?

Yes. Instructors can guide participants through shared sessions, while RecordXR captures explanations as interactive spatial recordings. Learners can replay these recordings and explore the content from their own perspective.

How do we evaluate the right configuration?

Request a demonstration based on your intended use or start with a trial. Our team can help you assess the applications, hardware, and licensing needed for your institution.
